Saudi Arabia Celebrates UAE National Day

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrated the National Day of the United Arab Emirates on Monday, February 22, 2021, which marks the anniversary of the unification of the Emirates under one flag in 1971. This occasion came to reaffirm the close brotherly relations that bind the two sisterly nations.
In this context, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that “the Kingdom joins the United Arab Emirates in celebrating its National Day, expressing pride in the close historical brotherly relations that unite the two countries and their brotherly peoples.” His Highness added that “these relations form a model to be emulated in cooperation and joint coordination between Arab states.”
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Energy, emphasized the importance of the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the UAE, noting that “the two countries represent fundamental pillars for the security and stability of the region, and work together to enhance economic growth and prosperity.”
These celebrations come within the framework of the historical relations that link the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the United Arab Emirates, which have witnessed remarkable development in recent years in various political, economic, cultural, and military fields. These relations reflect the shared vision of the two sisterly countries in strengthening joint Arab action and maintaining regional security and stability.
The year 2021 witnessed the signing of many agreements and memoranda of understanding between the Kingdom and the UAE, reflecting the keenness of the two wise leaderships to advance bilateral relations to broader horizons, serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples and enhancing the standing of both states on the regional and international stages.
