In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, historian Dr. Abdullah Al-Mazrou said: “The Kingdom’s signing of the League of Arab States charter came from its firm belief in the importance of joint Arab action and Arab unity.”
Al-Mazrou added: “Since then, the Kingdom has played a pivotal role in supporting the path of joint Arab action and strengthening Arab solidarity in various regional and international forums.”
The year 2023 saw the Kingdom assume the presidency of the 32nd Arab Summit held in the city of Jeddah, where the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz affirmed the importance of enhancing joint Arab action to face the challenges confronting the Arab nation.
The Kingdom celebrates this occasion annually as a national day that embodies its deep belonging to the Arab nation and its keenness to support its just causes.
This anniversary comes amid the rapid developments witnessed in the Arab region, which confirms the importance of strengthening Arab solidarity and uniting ranks to face common challenges.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been, since its establishment, one of the most Arab countries keen on supporting joint Arab action, having effectively contributed to the establishment of many Arab organizations and bodies, and provided material and moral support for many Arab causes.
